Kites

One of my main hobbies is flying Kites, "Sad" I hear you all say, but there is nothing more relaxing than standing on a beach with the waves lapping at your feet whilst you are flying a kite with your favourite tunes on your Ipod....

I started flying almost 12 years ago when I was bought a small Delta for my birthday. Then on one of my many visits to the New Forest I was invited to fly a Flexifoil 8ft Pro Team.... the difference was amazing the 8ft piece of fabric dragging a 15 stone man accross field...... Fantastic......

On my return I purchased a Flexifoil Stacker (6ft) start off small and learn the ropes (Lines) as they say....

Over that year I bought another and then another. One of the reason they are called Stacker is that you can literaly Stack them on top of each other......

I also added a few large delta's to my collection, A local kite designer / maker called Dave Mullen from Amersham made me a Sprint (6ft) to my own colours (Black and Yellow) then a Mega Sprint (8ft) I also purchased the infamous Area 51.

In 2005 I made the decision to get some real power, So at the Weymouth Kite Festival I bought a HQ Beamer 3.6 (3.6 Meters), I have just now added a Bump and Jump harness as I do not think my arm sockets will take any pulling :-) .......

More to follow soon......
